SHOOTING FOR THE STARS

COMMUNITY GRANTS

The ‘Shooting for the Stars’ grant system will provide financial assistance to regional communities for projects which contribute to the mental health and wellbeing of their area. The funds will be distributed from part of the proceeds collected by ‘A Night Under the Stars’.


 

Application Criteria:

  • Located within regional WA

  • Grant activity must be between 1 April 2024 - 1 Dec 2024.

  • Fit with Blue Tree Project’s purpose, values and behaviour

  • Contribute to the vitality, development, wellbeing and/or safety of regional communities

  • Have value, relevance and credibility to our project and supporters

  • Promote the development of future community and wellbeing leaders


 

In order to meet our objectives, the following will not be funded:

  • Requests from individual persons

  • Fundraising events, or individual or team requests which are focused on fundraising for a third party

  • Indirect fundraising activities, i.e. charity golf days, signage, advertising

  • Public or private companies

  • Government entities cannot apply for funds for events

  • Religious purposes

  • Political groups, parties or donations

  • Events or projects which may encourage unsafe behaviour

  • Groups or events that do not directly benefit mental wellbeing

  • Projects or events related to gambling or gambling related activities


 

Applications will open 1st August, 2023 & close 1st March 2024. Maximum funding limit is $5,000. Only successful applicants will be contacted.

 

All applications will be assessed by a judging panel. Successful applicants may be required to submit an invoice upon request prior to receiving payment.
